Star of the day

Look how much we've grown!!

We are talking all about when we were babies. The food we liked, the clothes we wore, the things we could not do that we can do now, the toys we liked and much more. It is very interesting looking at all the baby toys and clothes and listening to the stories all the boys and girls are sharing!

Play time

Two of our most favourite things to do in the morning is to; write on teachers' big blackboard and make very tall buildings from the big blocks!

Autumn Art

We made some fantastic pictures today. We used fabric and fibre to make trees and lots of colourful leaves.

Teachers' absolutely fantastic helpers did such an amazing job cleaning up that they even washed the paper plates :) :)

Teacher thought this was very funny for some reason ;)!!!

Our First Nature Walk

Today we went on a nature walk to have a look for signs of Autumn. We looked for leaves falling off the trees and all the colours of autumn, green, brown, yellow,red and orange. Take a look at some of the autumn signs we spotted.

Matching

We played lots of matching games this week. We matched items on the whiteboard, in our books and we even matched our shoes.

The children jumbled up their shoes and paired them up as fast as they could, then the children matched the shoes to the owner.

Pass The Beat

Today we used the instruments for the first time. We found the beats that are in the names of all the children in our class. Some names have just one, and some have three beats. We played games like pass the beat and loud & soft. We practiced copying different beats before passing the beat one by one around the group.
We really enjoyed hiding an object and helping the seeker find it using loud and soft beats. The softer the beat, the further away the seeker is from the hiding place. The beat gets louder as the seeker gets closer to hidden object. We thought this was great fun.

Maths activities

We love maths games. Today we practiced sorting according to size, shape and colour. Some children worked really hard fitting tangrams into shape pictures.
