A gift from Santa

Santa left a gift under the tree at school when he came to visit yesterday. It is reindeer food. Sprinkle it outside on Christmas Eve to show Santa where your house is. We think the candy canes are for us though!
Happy Christmas to all the children and parents in junior infants room 2!

Memories

Today I received the most beautiful gift from a little girl who was in my class two years ago.
It was a box of drawings she made of her memories of junior infants.

Thank you very much Brooke!!!!!!
You gave Ms Conneely a very big smile and also a little tear.

We recieved this amazing email from Santa today.
We are all VERY excited about Christmas now.

Nativity Scene

We have been learning all about the story of Christmas. We are practicing very hard for our nativity play. The songs are frequently heard in room 2 even during silent working time so I'm sure all the mammies and daddies have been hearing ALOT of them lately.Teacher really hopes you like them as much as she does :) ;) :)

More and less

We have been doing lots of work on more and less. We listen to stories about teddies at the park. Some teddies like to go on the slide, we decide if there are more or less teddies on the slide. Sometimes teacher tells us exactly how many teddies are where, we tell teacher if there are more or less teddies on the swings.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We've been very busy getting ready for Christmas in junior infants. Take a look at all the great work.

Magic Magnets

We had great fun experimenting with magnets. We found lots of things around the class that attract magnets. We learned that magnets have two sides. We learned opposites attract and same sides repel. We had lots of fun repelling and attracting. It looked just like magic when teacher put the same side of the magnets together, the magnet spun around without anything touching it!
